NAC Recruit

2023

IT company recruiting site. Very well polished, precise front end experience.

The problem with recruitment pages

Nobody wakes up excited to read about a company's values and headcount. NAC needed their recruitment section to change that, to project enough modernity and care that engineers would actually want to apply. The designer went all in: custom animations on every page, a full-page slider for the homepage, each section with its own color code. I had about a month to make all of it real.

A slider I actually like

I don't usually like sliders. Most of the time they're a sign that nobody could decide what goes first on the page. This one is different. Each slide has its own little world of animations and visual details, closer to a guided tour than a lazy carousel. I used GSAP for the motion work and Vivus to draw the main SVG illustration on screen.

Charts on the about page

The About Us page had to present company data in a way that didn't put people to sleep. I built most of the animated charts from scratch to match the design. The pie charts use Chart.js. I wasn't going to hand-roll those.

Page transitions that stuck with me

This was my first time doing animated page transitions, and I got hooked. I used Highway.js to swap pages without a full reload, then layered transition animations on top. The best part: the transitions are color-coded. They blend the color of the page you're leaving with the one you're entering. It's the kind of detail most people won't consciously notice, but it makes the whole site feel like one continuous thing instead of a bunch of separate pages.

The rest

WordPress handles routing and the contact form. I set up both the staging and production servers. The site is still live today.
